This is how my Matryoshka mini side project is going. I have been working on this since the dolls arrived four days ago. The first one naturally took the longest. I do not know why I find it hard to make miniatures. I guess it must have something to do with my tools. I got to get me some tiny brushes. One the meantime, I suppose I will have to make meets end with what I have. The second one is not technically done. I still have to add glitter to it. Still, for the most part, you can get the general idea of what I am going for. All the core colors are there. You see enough of both of them to get the idea of what I want to make. Normally, people have their nesting dolls looking the same all the way. This is not how I like to roll. I like having people and things with a bit of individualism. I think individualism is the most important ideal a person should aspire. Whenever they try to group me in one thing or another I always get annoyed. I am Teresita Blanco, and there isn’t another douche out there who is identical to me.
Before you get talking about the cloning business, no two clones are alike. When gestating in the womb, the fluids of the mother created a lot of randomization. It is for this reason that identical twins do not have the same fingerprints or even moles. No two individuals can ever look 100 percent the same, and that is just dandy. Why am I talking about cloning? Well, because I like the idea of cloning. Most people are too poo-poo about the entire matter. It is a cool new thing, and we should Jurassic Park the hell out of all extinct species. I just think it would make the world a much more interesting place to live in. I like interesting things. Most of the time, I am just bored out the same mundane stuff, the everyday nothing. This is just a little reference to a title of a book made by a Cuban writer. I do not wish to tell you who she is. Most of her books are written well, but have terrible stories. She is crude for the hell of it, and I find it annoying. Then again, she is just trying to sell out her culture, like everyone else living on that island or off that island.
It is just about the only thing marketable left in that rotting paradise. This reminds me of a joke about the place. When God was making Cuba, he gave it all the nice things that nature has to offer. Gabriel than said to God, “You are not making a paradise on Earth, are you?”
Then God said, “Relax, now I am adding the people.”
The overall takeaway is that the place looks pretty, but it is filled with 90 percent of douches. It used to be a healthy 50- 50, but most of the good folks left the country. Those that remained either assimilated or shut the hell up. Like that song always says, “A good person is not someone who helps. Rather, it is the person that doesn’t bother others.” I live by that mantra a lot. I never bother people, and I ask of others to do the same for me. The world, and especially the internet is filled with trolls bothering people. There is nothing as painful, or as annoying as the slow death caused trolls and bullies. The moral lesson of the day is not to be a douche. What does this have to do with my nesting dolls? Well, I first saw such dolls when I was little living in Cuba. I thought they looked really cute, and as of lately, I am trying to recapture a bit of my childhood, but in a nicer setting. Everything is always nicer in a new time and place.
Now, back to my nesting dolls. Normally, these dolls have a miscellaneous flowery design. For the main one, I used orchids as part of her decoration. I also added some butterflies to. The doll is also showing a bit of mannerism. She is eating cookies, because she likes them. For the second doll, I used clematis as part of her design. I also added a couple of humming birds. I decided to make her a read head, because I do not remember ever seeing a nesting doll with red hair. While the main one is eating, the other is playing with her cellphone, like most teenagers her age. Moving along, the dolls are made of wood. I first painted them with a layer of titanium white. I then added the color, and finally the glitter. I still have four other dolls to paint.
