This is one of my many Miami Beach Landscape photos. This one was taken close to sunset, beneath the shadow of one of the many Hotels there. Wherever the shadow falls, that part of the beach is going to be privatized. I guess it might work well for the tourists, but not for the locals. The hotels put too much faith in the power of outsiders and not enough on the business from the locals. Also, a lot of places like night clubs and restaurants depend on the locals for their business.
If they shoo out the locals, it won't be long before Miami Beach becomes deserted. Frankly, I do not mind much since I hate going to the beach. I only go there to play Pokémon Go. Most of the Pokestops are away from the beach side and the hotels do not own the sidewalks, yet. Recently, there was a little lady that was assaulted in the middle of the night. She got mugged in quite the ugly fashion.
This further elucidates why one should not head out at night, alone without packing heat. There criminals are always watching, waiting for a sign of weakness before striking. This has been occurring for almost an entire decade. So, it is not as if the mugging was a onetime thing. The morning also has its own perils. Recently, a tourist was ran over by a douche.
Also people in bicycles crash into cars often in that place. For all its external beauty and whatever, Miami Beach has a lot of issues. They are not going to go away by trying to alienate the locals. It is only going to create more hardship as small businesses close down because of hotels' short sightedness and stupidity. I guess some things can't be helped. The efficiency expert strikes again!!
