Just as I said before, I wanted to have a garden I would enjoy photographing. This is just some of the photos I took. They feature all the best looking plants I planted. There was another one too. However, it is perianal and it is not in season. We are going to have to wait a couple of months before planting it.
Most of the plants were in one piece. You can tell by how much roots cover the pot. If the plant has covered its entire container, it means that the plant is healthy. You can just eyeball it from time to time. As of now, we are trying to get the air conditioner changed.
It is just one of those things we ended up needing in the long run. I am still not too convinced. We decided to bite the bullet and call it quits. We usually get a lot of junk done whenever mother is on vacation. We end up wasting more money than if we had gone on vacation. Everyone has their own little fever pitch, with their stories.
Anyhow, today I took a couple of photos in the garden. I wanted to see if the flowers were progressing. Aside from planting the flowers, we also gave them nutrients and we used the herbicide. The Hibiscus flower seems to be bouncing back. It took two days, but it finally released a beautiful flower.
We were starting to worry about it, because the bottom branches seemed dead. It was also not releasing new flowers. According to the internet, this flower likes to eat a lot of potassium. We got a well rounded flower food, that also included potassium. The perfect flower alone was enough to raise my hopes.
The hardest thing with the flowers was the whole digging them. I do not plant to do that again for another year. I want to build a fancy garden that I will enjoy photographing. It is going to take time. Eventually, we are going to get it right. Of all the plants, there is one we did not get around planting.
I think it is just going to stay in its pot for the time being. I personally would prefer to plant it. I just do not know where. It is important not to crowd up the plants. The cats yesterday were circling the gardens. I think they were looking for a new place to poop. They are annoying little bastards. I think I am slowly becoming a falcon person.
Our garden has a very nice falcon that kills all the birds. This allows for the butterfly numbers to shore up. Right now, we have a lot of the black and yellow ones. I think they are a zebra heliconian. I like butterflies. Still, being around them freaks me out a bit. I am bit squeamish as far as insects are concerned.
I think I will have more than one photo for this blog. It might be somewhat of a change of pace. The flowers we chose are naturally grown in Florida. Most of them were annuals, except for one. Annual flowers produce new buds all the time. As of now, I am getting a little concerned about the rose bush.
Its leaves are turning into an odd color. I also did a very minor trimming. The plants had a weird white stuff and whatnot. I read online those white stuff were bad for the plants. They were either a fungal infection or some bugs. I trimmed them just in case. I only removed a couple of leaves. Hopefully, I did not do too much damage to the plant. They all look fine today.
They will not receive much growth because we are in the start of winter. Still, I am feeling confident about it. This is gardening novice level. Still, you can google enough to learn. All one needs is a bit of patience. The hardest thing was the whole digging the hole. Our soil has a lot of stones mixed in with the dirt. It took longer than I so desired to open the holes. Still it was entertaining. I don’ t remember much the names of the flowers we bought.
