The Sarangi is a bowed string instrument. It is used in traditional Hindu music. The instrument is also popular in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The sound of the instrument resembles the human voice. The instrument gets its name from the bow used by Lord Vishnu.

The instrument is usually played along with vocals, even when it is used as a solo instrument. Even today, the instrument is still played in India.

The instrument was invented around the 17th century. It was used in dance performances.

The drawing itself was made with pens and coloring pencils. I hope that you find amusing learning a little something about this interesting instrument.

This is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, Bye, and God bless.
