On the weekend, I went to Miami Beach with my family. We packed light in order to eat food after we got bored of splashing about.
We chose to eat at Sazon. I have done foodie reviews of this restaurant before. It is fun to see how it changes throughout the years.
Sazon has a new owner. So, the restaurant got a nice face lift. It has new chairs and decorations. Instead of a piano lady, they now have live bands.
They play music in the Patio of the restaurant. This patio also includes a mini bar. It is a great place to hang out and chill.
Now, it is time to talk about the food. I ranted enough about the decorations. The menu has the descriptions of the food in English.
So, you do not need to speak Spanish to eat in this Cuban restaurant. We started with Mariquitas. The are chirps made with banana.
You can eat it with black beans or a different dip. It is works pretty well. For the main course, I had shrimps, mother had ropa vieja beef, and my brother had pork.
The salad was pretty fresh. The shrimps I was fed where pretty big and nicely cooked. The fries that came with my shrimp where some of the best fries I had in my life.
They were super delicious. I recommend those French fries. For dessert, we had a flan and three milks.
The three milks they gave my brother was extremely big. It was a corner piece as well.
We were able to eat plenty from his dessert. The presentation of the food was nice. We didn’t have to wait much between each of the courses.
If you order a soda, you get a can and some ice. You do not get fed fountain soda.
So, this works well if you like your drink carbonated.
Everything we ordered was 100 bucks, including tip.
It was nice to eat at a restaurant where we didn’t end up spending more than 100 bucks for a meal.
So, if you are ever in Miami Beach, do give Sazon a visit.
Everything was delicious from beginning to end.
My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
