This is quite the cute new anime drawing of mine. I made it last night. I decided to start my pose series. I wanted to practice my figure drawing. Most mangaka artists do not practice figure drawings. This is well noted on most of the anime wallpapers I see. They tend to be quite repetitive. There is only one exception to this rule. The people who animate battles tend to put a little bit of effort behind it. This is well noted in Berserk and in Claymore as well. Then again, I do not keep a lot of track on mangas. There is a difference in style between the two schools of mangaka artists. The most common group are those who just produce anime drawings.

The other chumps are those who develop mangas. I do not keep either. I do have a couple of mangas volumes. I would collect more, but there is a problem with space. I was never the type of person to collect a lot of mangas. I usually just read them once in the library and then go on with our life. The same could be said of other western comic books that I read. My main issue with mangas is the length. I do not like to get financially invested in one of those long, drawn out stories. This is the main reason why I tend to prefer Ozamu Tezuka works. He usually has a one volume deal. Mind you, his volumes tend to be rather fat.

This has nothing to do with the cute anime drawing. I am just really mellowed out and the like. I woke up a little earlier than usual. I had a weird dream that we had forgotten to lock the door. Someone starts trying to get in, and then I ask my brother to get the swords while I hold the door. I was not in the mood for completing the dream so I woke up. When I was a brat, my house got robbed twice. I never saw the thieves, I just saw all the stuff in the second part of the house moved about. I am still a bit half asleep. I was having a bit of annoying dreams and the like. It is for this reason I decided to get up. On top of everything, I had a song stuck in my head. It was the David Bowie’s Valentine’s Day song. I thought it had a nice rhythmic to it.

When I draw, I usually listen to music a lot. As of late, I have been listening to David Bowie, Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden. Drawing with music is always a must. Drawing is mostly visual. There is no need to think too much while drawing. Just have your hand work, while your eyes coordinate the effort. I usually tend to draw a bit too close to the paper. Maybe I have problems with drawings and the like. I think I might need glasses. Sometimes I lose a bit of focus when I am drawing. Maybe I should just rest my eyes a bit between drawings. I think this is just about it, with my ramblings. I chose to draw the maiden with a see-through dress. I thought it would have made it a bit more classy. The drawing was made with my art 101 pencils, a prismacolor pen, a sakura gelly roll pen, and a faber castell coloring pencil. I then used a pentel eraser to mess with the intensity of the colors. I hope you find this useful.
