This is another one of the cute anime drawings of mine. I wanted to practice my figure drawings. As such, I am not sketching reclining figures. Before you think too much crazy things, I do not have a model to sketch from life. I sketch figures from my painting collection. The painters did have the luxury to afford models to sketch, not me. I do not like having weird people running about my house. It is for this reason that I am always a bit squeamish whenever we have to get something repaired and upgraded.
A few weeks ago, we had to fix the air conditioner a bit and we had some visitors. It was a bit annoying to manage. It went from having to replace the outside unit, to replacing both. The long and short of it, is that we did neither. Everything is a business, and it doesn’t work well for them to repair an air conditioner. They make a larger profit margin by replacing the entire unit. The first kid did fix our outside unit, however. After it was all set and done, the boss of the kid spent like two hours yelling at him in front of our house. It is a good thing we have impact windows. The nice thing about them is that they keep the noise down. They also protect you during the time of hurricanes. When Irma came, we also place shutters as well.
The trees did help somewhat shelter the house from the winds. I do not know if this is true or not. This new Floridian Hurricane ripped through Panama City. When I first saw the Hurricane, the people were saying that it was only going to be a Category 2. Based on the size of it and its location, I guessed that it could boost up to 4 and it did. I always like being right, but not when it comes to predicting the strength of Hurricanes. I always prefer to err, when I guess higher, than when I guess lower. None of this matters since I am not a weather person. Most Journalism people do make a living guessing all these weather patterns. I am not one of those fellows. Well, moving along. I got a bit distracted because there was a single good anime show.
In the old days, I used to have an anime website. It was a big success but we did not make any money. This is why we decided to open a store instead. Starting a website is usually a bit of a bother. It takes about 2 years before getting anywhere. So far, I have made a couple of sales. This is good considering that this is a two man operation. Even though, I no longer do the anime website thing I still draw in anime style. It is the way I learned how to draw and it is a little bit too late to change. I could draw realism figures. Even my body types are realistic. Still. I do not like drawing normal people faces. I find human faces to be particularly ugly for the most part. There are some exceptions to this rule.
Still, those pretty faces I have only seen in the painted world. Living human wise, I have yet to see a face that is truly beautiful. This is not from lack of looking. The plastic surgeons are always trying to convince maidens that they are becoming more beautiful. I frankly think this is the opposite. They start decent and then they have their faces mutilated. Needless to say, I have an issue with cosmetic surgery. It is unnatural. Why is it unnatural you ask? It breaks the laws of nature. Just hear me out for a moment. In the natural world, men grew prettier feathers, and manes and claws to attract a female. Now in the human world, it is becoming the opposite. Women are changing their bodies to attract males, when it should be the opposite. The inversion of this natural law is quite detrimental.
I suppose some things cannot be helped. You live in the world, and you must abide by its rules. Once the lemmings start marching, one has no other choice but to jump down the cliff with the rest of them. If I can help it, I will not march. I am my own type of fellow, and that is dandy. Moving along, the maiden was drawn with my leda art supply sketchbook. I drew the line art with my royal and langnickel pencils. I then drew the lines with Staedtler, prismacolor and my bamboo moris pens. The embellishment on the dress was done with my Sakura gelly pens. The rest of the color was done with my art 101 pencils, and one royal and langnickel pencil. I hope you find this cute anime drawing useful, as far as drawing sitting figures are concerned.
