I have been going to fool about in the Florida Keys for quite some time. Last month, we visited the place twice.

Mainly, I like visiting random shops and places to take cute photos. There is plenty to look at, both new stuff and old stuff.

I even saw a place that had super retro arcade machines. The ride through there is at times a little boring.

There is a certain section were the cars usually slow down to watch the boats. Whenever that happens, the ride through the keys ends up taking forever.

It is nice to see the people on boats, but it would be nicer to arrive to one’s destination a little faster. I think the last time I visited the place they rose a curtain to obstruct the view of the boats.

This is more the pity. The keys have gone through a lot of changes over the years. It is only now starting to recover from the hurricane Irma.

After the hurricane, all the trees lost their foliage and a lot of houses got destroyed. As a result of the hurricane, the hotels there got a little bit expensive.

By hotels, I just refer to the place I normally like to visit. I have been thinking of stomping about in a new area. The world is looking a little bit dangerous and it removes all desire to roam about.

I can barely work up the energy to even visit the garden. Maybe I am just becoming a little bit agoraphobic. This is why it is important to take lots of photos of one’s travels.

It helps remind a person that you roamed the world, and nothing bad happened to you. Yes, safety is an illusion, but most of the time folks manage to live relatively normal life.

Now, back to ranting about the Keys. The place is perfect for those who like to hunt for curiosities. The butterfly preserve was a cool place to visit, with the exception of the fact that I have a serious bug phobia.

Seriously, I do not like having butterflies landing on me. They really do scare me. I am not a big fan of butterflies. I like looking at them, but they do not respect my personal space.

A decade ago, I also went to one of the Key West’s parades. It was quite amusing to see so many people in pretty costumes. Most of the outfits were tasteful, even the bad ones were hilarious.

It is important to always maintain a good sense of humor. From time to time, I see funny decorations or figurines. It is a pity that the shops change so much over the years.

I suppose with the economy, only the big guys manage to weather the storm. Anyhow, I hope you find amusing the photos I took during my travel through the keys. I just wanted to write about the place and remember it a little.

The weather most of the time is perfect for frying one’s brain. It is specially hot during the summer. So, it is important to always carry water when roaming about.

The Keys is also perfect for playing Pokemon Go. In Key West, the place is littered with pokestops and Gyms. There are also a lot of museums. The Hemingway Museum was the most amusing.

It was filled with cats and many other dainty things belonging to the dead writer. It is nice to see that deep down, Hemingway was a crazy cat person. They should do a movie about Hemingway’s cats.

I think it would add a nice, funny spin on the character. Plus, people love cats. Anything having to do with cats is always very well received.

I think I ranted enough for one day. I hope you like my nice travel photos. This is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, Bye, and God Bless.
