Standing Classical Figure in Red

This is just one of the many new anime drawings featuring anime girls doing nothing. The stranding position is known as contrapposto. It was pretty well liked during the Renaissance and Neoclassical period. The stance is meant to show a person shifting their weight. If you look at enough paintings, you will see that it was a pretty common stance. Even the David statues had them. With the baroque period, there came a bit of variety. As of now, I am trying not to repeat a pose. There would be no point to it, since I am just practicing as all. For now, I am just getting them from classical paintings. I will probably move into other sources of mine, and then eventually I will hit my photos. I doubt I will get much out of my photos. Humans are rarely naturally graceful.
I think I will also add a couple of model poses from my fashion books. I think it would be useful to have a large array of choices. I will eventually publish the entire series in a book. As of now, I have been trying to work up enough energy to start translating my books. The first two books would not take too long. They are just a bunch of poems and short stories, as well. Once I get into the novels, this is where it is going to get criminally insane. Needless to say, this is going to be the one and only time I will make a long series. I might try another one in like 10 years. Still, I would not count on my revisiting the fantasy genre. One can only write so much about it, before deciding to move on with one’s life.
Tomorrow, my peep arrives from his Orlando trip. Some of the photos I have seen have been rather cookie. Well, I have only seen his girl, instead of my brother. My brother never liked taking his picture a lot. I used to like taking my photo when I was younger. Now, I do not care much about it. I suppose it might have to do with a decline in my vanity. Then again, I just cannot seem to be bothered about it. I prefer to have photographs of the world around me, than to see the steady decline in my youth. Then again, it is nothing too noticeable, as of yet. I do not drink or smoke. This alone helps me retain a couple of years. Most people just waste away in pointless excesses. The money one spends in either can be easily used to buy video games. Games never did anyone any wrong. It is just a harmless hobby, that builds lasting enemies over petty reasons. Well, this only applies to online gaming. I never did quite enjoy that aspect of it.
A game should not be dependent on an online server to be fun. This is why I like stand alone games like Skyrim or the Devil May Cry games. They do not need an online server, and they come for the most part complete. As of now, I find pretty annoying how games come out in pieces. I want a complete game. I do not want to have to buy the rest of it in pieces. Usually, the expansions are a pretty big disappointment. There is one exception to this rule. The Souls games always knew what expansions were all about. The best one was from Dark Souls 2. I suppose I should talk a bit about the drawing, but there really isn’t much to be said about it. Just take it as it is. Moving along, the girl was drawn on a leda art supply paper. The pens used are from Staedtler, Morris Bamboo, Prismacolor and Sakura. The pencils are from Royal and Langnickel and Art 101. The eraser is from Pentel.
