This is another one of my Chibi Comics and the like. It is from the Book of Wisdom. There is at least two Wisdom books in the old Testament. Most people tend to skip through them, but they are pretty interesting. All the sayings are just like the ones you find in Chinese Cookies, only different. It is the only book in the Bible that talks about going to the doctor, and the importance of doctors for healing the body. Most people do not bother to read the book, and they just take as fact whatever the priests says. The Bible in fact is a lot shorter than the Harry Potter movies. If you can read through Harry Potter, you can read through the Bible just peachy. I first read it when I was in Middle School with my brother. We did not read it in order.
We decided to start with Apocalypse. We chose that one because they never read that book in Church. The interesting thing about it, was the opening. In our Catholic Bible, it said that Apocalypse is a cypher book. It should be taken with a grain of salt. At the time, there was like hundreds of Apocalypses and Gospels. Eventually, all the priests got together and decided what was going on their Bible. Most people tend to think the book fell from Heaven, but it was written by humans like all Holy books. This should not remove from its merits. Everything is what you make of it. If a book turns you into a nice person, then treat it like a sacred book. As for doing good, I take a Zoroastrian stance with it. Good is good for your soul. You do not do good for a rewards, like Heaven.
You do it to keep your soul healthy. Well, this a bit too much religion for most people’s taste. I studied a lot of religions when I was at University. I had plenty of electives for my Journalism Bachelor. I decided to do it constructively. I am a bit bored and the like. Let us move right along shall we. Officially, I have already complete the Chibi Bible manga. Why did I make it? I did it because I wanted it a house and then I got the house. It is a catholic thing. You do something to promote the Lord, and his word, and then you get something for it. I am not a type of religious nut. I have my own theme, as far as unreality is concerned. I made the chibi Bible for children. Most people tend to lie to kids about the Bible. The comic was designed to be read without words. The Amazon folks said I should add words. I did so, in a couple of early versions. The new editions will be done without words.
As of now, my brother is working on changing the format of the early volumes. He is going to put a panel per page. Most kids we have shown the comic do not know how to read the manga. They can only interpret a scene per page. So, I am now going to put a panel per page. Once the new versions get done, I will release the entire comic without color. It will be like color your own Bible type of deal. Most of the study Bibles in my Sunday school did not have color. It was common for kids to draw on it, instead of reading the Bible. As for this page itself, it features 4 sayings. The first one says that those with Wisdom think deep thoughts, while fools only thing foolish things. The second panel says that fools only pay heed to gossip. The third panel says that fools have their heart in their mouth, while the wise person has his mouth on his heart. The fourth panel just says the overall argument. Wise people should not waste their time arguing with fools. The paper I used to make this manga page is from Art n fly. I drew it with my Sakura and my prismacolor pens. I then erased the lines with my pentel eraser. I hope you find this useful.
