This is a cute chibi manga of mine. It features a scene from the my manga. It features Delilah and Samson. Delilah was Sansom’s second woman. His first wife had died. His enemies the Philistines paid off Delilah to find his secret weakness. After working him over a bit, Sansom told his girl that his hair was his source of power. Since he was little, he had never cut his hair. When Delilah removed his hair, Sansom became weak and prone to enemy attacks. He is a bit of a Herculean figure. There is a lot of plot elements that Sansom shares with Hercules. Both defeated a lion and had super strength. This is just about the only two commonalities. Sansom belongs to the book of Judges. The Judges were people who upheld the law. They did not have King level, though some ruled over people. The most notable one was Deborah. She was a queen, a judge, and prophet too. Well, the image is mostly about Samson anyway. I worked hard on his cute design. There is only so much individualism one can add to a chibi. Still, I do try my best.

Chibi mangas tend to get done a lot quickly than regular mangas. I created a specific background style to go with the chibis. Well defined backgrounds tend to make the chibis look dopy. As such, I try to match it a bit by making the background chibi. As of now, I have three chibi mangas made. The fourth book is in process. It is going to featured the book of Judges and then some. I like the book of Judges. It has plenty of interesting stories. The book of Kings has plenty of issues here and there. Most of the Kings of the Old Testament tend to be full of themselves. You can see the conflict between the Kings and the Prophets. The Prophets are always putting the King’s powers in check. The Prophets for the most part were outsiders. They heard the word of the lord directly. As such, they were in constant conflict with the establish religion. Many times their words contradicted whatever the priests said. All in all, the Priest and Kings were fighting against the prophets over the heart of the people. It was not often that the prophets, the priests and the kings got along. The main issue with Kings was that they were men made of flesh and blood. They always had a flare for foreign women. These women tended to convert the Kings to a pagan religion. Naturally, this angered the prophets.

Since the Kings changed religions, the prophets would call forth calamities against the sinful kings. Needless to say, the prophets of yonder did not believe in freedom of religion. Then again, religion was more serious business back then. They dealt with it as a reality. There was the wind and the sky, and miracles too. These days people do things with science. Magic and other mystical powers have taken a bit of a backdrop. I think in part is because we can now do things without the interference of the Gods. I think slowly, God has removed the crutches. If we can make a difference with our intellect, then God will step aside to let us achieve our potential. This is part due to the greatest gift he gave us, which is freewill. This is just random speculation. I do not like to think things through a lot and the like. Still, if I am talking about my Chiblia, then it makes sense I would get all theological on you. I always find it annoying to talk to people about religion.

They get so annoying and sensitive. As soon as you say something that remotely contradicts their dogma, they get all inquisition up in your face. I do have a religion, and it is a very nice one. Still, you will never guess what I truly believe. I think religion should be one’s own business. People tend to cause so much evil, over matters of religion. There is the alternative. Some folks would say that we should forgo all religions. The atheism thing has already been time tested. All it does is turn people into even bigger evil folks. Without the concept of the soul, humans see one another as objects. I am not going to go on about it. There is plenty of historical examples like the Peloponnesian War, World War II, The Cold War, ect. Still, this evil is displayed more commonly today in the form of the petit malice. Think of it as any type of evil little action, that doesn’t necessary break the law, but causes harm to another fellow. Like the snowball effect, all these petit maledictions combine to make a sick society, where you even suspect a fellow who is asking for help. Moving along then,  the drawing was made with Strathmore paper pad. I then used my Sakura pens to draw the manga page. I then erased the pencil lines with my pentel eraser. I hope you find this cute little manga useful.
