Book two features a love triangle between the Dragon King Liam, the Necromancer Tyrone and the Satyr Knight Lilian. The front cover features the trio in the form of chess pieces.
The two friends are represented by black pieces. They are trying to capture the heart of the King, before it is too late.
The Civil War ended, and things seem to be progressing for the better. Now, the members of the Sacred Mask Guild only have mundane problems to worry about. Even mundane problems can escalate to dangerous situations.
I am not going to reintroduce the characters. The story is going to pick up right where it left off. It was the Birthday of the Arch Magus Helmer, and there are new faces.
It is in the birthday party were Lilian takes centerstage, in his first pathetic attempt to try to woo the Dragon King Liam.
In the first book, there was a lot of focus on the game of chess. Chess is a good analogy for a lot of things.
I have an overall starting point idea. It is going to be about fellows trying to reinvent themselves, in an effort to put the painful past behind them.
The overall theme is going to be honesty. I hope that what you read entices you to continue following the story of the members of the Sacred Mask Guild.
