Two Very Photogenic Sunflowers

Today, I was in a photography type of mood. As such, I went outside for like a second to take a photo of my new sunflower. Much to my dismay, the sunflower was still opening. Still, it looks great for being 90 percent almost fully bloomed. From far away, you can appreciate the height of the sunflower.
It is almost as tall as the main door. It’s partner is also pretty tall as well. The rains have not been kind. It has been almost two weeks since I saw a drop of water. Yesterday, I went to water the plants. I saw something really cute. It made me wish I had the camera.
Alas, I do not carry electronic equipment with me, when I go out to water the garden. Accidents can happen, you know. Anyhow, it was a tiny blue and gold bird bathing in the leaves of the ferns. This made me think that we might need a bird bath. We certainly have a lot of birds. We could put it in a place that is near a window, to photograph the pretty birds.
Then again, they might not want to risk it. There is a falcon in our yard after all. From time to time, we find the feathers of his victims. Of my first sunflowers, they are already forming seeds. They will be ready to be planted soon. I want a large segment of the garden with pretty sunflowers. It is a work in progress, which I started last winter.
For now, I must restrict to planting the seeds of the current sunflowers. I am saving up for something crazy, and expensive. I want a fancier bjd doll or something. I also want to get some new acrylic mediums to spice up the painting projects.
I also need to get new canvases. I might want to make a new large painting. I am still thinking of the subject matter. Last night, I got some progress done, with the book. I also drew half a page. Anyhow, I hope you find these two photos I took amusing.
