This is another one of my classical looking anime girls. As of late, I have been practicing my people drawing. I could use people from the real world. Still, I find it easier to rely on either photos or paintings. As of now, I have been using just the paintings. I am trying not to repeat poses or walks. Most of the old masters did not repeat themselves. Even when the poses were similar, there was a variation with the hand movement or the pose of the leg. For the time being, I have been just a little bored and somewhat lonely. Normally, I would be working along with my peep, but he is one vacation with his girl. So, for now I am just here, writing to myself. I never do know if too many folk read my ramblings, or just saw the picture. I suppose I tend to be a little misleading at times. Then again, there isn’t much one can say about this drawing. It is just a chick walking. Nothing else needs to be said.

I suppose I should mention the source of the pose. I got it from a painting by Frederick Soulacroix. He painted during the impressionism period. In school, they only mention the impressionists. Still, there were academic painters still doing their thing. Soulacroix specialized in dainty maidens in cute, satin dresses. All his paintings were just real pretty, and cute. I like cute things. I am not a big fan of things that are too much of an eyesore. I also do not like to take a serious stance on anything. Last night, my mother said I should do stand up comedy. I tend to be occasionally funny. Still, I do not know if this comes out in the writing or not. It is more of a spoken randomness of mine. Frankly, this sounds like a bit too much of a bother. I would have to design a comedy skit, and walk around with a tape recorder to jot down any moment of brilliance. I can think of much better uses for my time.

Then again, I am not a big fan of going outside as of late. I only bother to go to the gym. I find other people to be rather annoying, and a tad boring. It has been ages since I spoke with a fellow in the real world, that was not my mother or my brother. I do from time to time answer a few posts on Facebook. I want to keep something of a visual presence to promote my books. I do not know if it is working or not. Still, it is something worth doing with one’s time. Moving along. I find it easier at least to get my daily blog down. I can just pause the noise and then write what I have to. I suppose there are some things that cannot be helped as all. My only companion for the moment is Dollchan. I think that would be a hilarious visual gag, coming on stage with a Doll, and then saying, “My mother told me to do standup comedy.” Still, I never did enjoy having people laugh at me. Those places seem dingy anyway, like the type of place where the audience is already half drunk.

I do not like drinking at all. The most I ever drink is Canadian Dry, which is a type of ginger ale. I recently got hooked on it. My brother would bring a pack from time to time. I then tried one, and decided to drink this, instead of the usual Coca Cola. Last night, I had a mellowed out type of dream I can barely remember. At least my eyes feel a little better. It does help to make the font bigger and to lower the overall illumination of the house. I just do not like forcing my eyes, as all. It starts becoming an overall issue when you do the writing thing, along with the drawing thing. It takes a toll on your eyes, doesn’t it? I suppose I should wrap things up. This classical walking maiden was drawn on a Leda Art Supply sketchbook. The sketch portion was done with my Royal and Langnickel HB pencil. I then draw the pen lines using a sakura gelly pen, a Staedtler pen and a Sakura pigma micron pen. After erasing the pencil lines with my Pentel eraser, I added the rest of the colors using my Art 101 coloring pencils. Hopefully, you will find this information useful for your drawing projects.
