I wanted to rant about Xcaret Park. It is fun to look at one’s travel photos to remember.
This Christmas we are going to be staying at home. The weather and other circumstances do not permit us from going far.
Plus, I am in a cozy type of mood. I have everything I need at home. So, there isn’t a big incentive to go out and explore.
It probably has something to do with the lockdowns. Folks just got used to being at home all the time. Not that I was a big adventurer back in the day.
Well, I do not want to rant about things that bum you out. I just wanted to talk about the last big vacation that I took.
I already talked about the cemetery, the river, the beach, the restaurant and the Telmascal. I thought I would focus on something else.
Let’s talk about the weather. We went there in the middle of summer. The Xcaret park was hot.
Despite being in the middle of the jungle, there were areas that had a lot of sunlight. It is important to always carry about a water bottle with you.
There are hydration stations here and there. This is something that would have been useful in the Chichen Itza, or the Pyramid of the sun.
We saw an interesting upside-down dance. The men were just spinning about upside down. I am surprised that they didn’t throw up.
It made me dizzy just looking at it. I have a travel video showing the dance. You can check it out in my Artsy Sister Youtube and Tiktok Channel.
I took a lot of videos of that vacation. I also photographed many things as well. The décor was also thematic. I also saw an interesting fishtank.
It gave a bit of an underwater world type of feel to the park on the other side.
It is just the little things that made Xcaret an interesting place to visit.
Now, that I am sitting here.
It is fun to just revisit the place through the photos. Depending on how the planets align, I will probably revisit Mexico in the future.
I think I ranted enough about my visit to Xcaret. I hope you like these new photos that I hadn’t posted.
My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
