Faena Theater Tryst Review

For my mother’s birthday, she wanted to go see the show Tryst in Faena. We normally go see one show from the theater per year.
We got seats as far back as possible. The theater is pretty small. So, a far away seat does not matter much.
Our chairs were worth 90 bucks a piece. We got these seats because we wanted to eat as well.
On the way to the theater, we saw what had become of Miami Beach. The road to it has become super confusing.
Just getting to Miami Beach was a hassle. The roads twisted and turned. We even needed to use a GPS to get there.
We have gone to Miami Beach for decades. With the changes in the road, things have gotten a little too confusing.
The road close to Faena was also getting a lot of repair work. The roads themselves looked just fine.
Still, they had a bunch of road blocks and pointless detours. It was simply a mess.
The overall point of this tirade is that the problems with the roads in Miami have gotten worse, not better.
Just make a small road portion, and then move on. Don’t just start road projects all over the place.
I sometimes think that the mayors or whatever are doing these road messes on purpose. The guy planning the roads in Miami probably has ADD or something.
The only bad thing about Faena Theater is trying to drive to the theater. Moving along. For the show, I got dolled up for a change. I wore the nice red dress and the high heels as well.
I only wear heels during very special dates. And by dates, I mean birthdays or Christmas. I haven’t gone on a date in over 12 years. Since it was my mother’s birthday, I wanted to amuse her.
She doesn’t like to go out with me, if I look shabby. With the heels, it was problematic to make it to my seat. I had to take a stairs, and I wobbled a lot before sitting down.
It was important to arrive early in order to get your food order in. We ordered food and drinks. The menu focuses more on drinks. Still, you can get food. We ate a 3 course meal.
The highlight was the churros, the rigatoni, and the lobster roll. Mother enjoyed the two drinks she ordered. With food and drink, we settled down to watch the show.
There was the main lady who introduced all the acts. The show itself was about Tryst. From time to time, the lady would talk to the audience. It turns out that almost everyone who came to watch the show was married.
The oldest married couple had been together for over 40 years. The lady found it laughable that the audience for her Tryst show was composed of the monogamy club.
The show was quite varied. It feature dancing, singing, acrobatics and a nice Jazz solo. The Jazz part was pretty neat with the duet of the Saxophone and the Trumpet.
The guys playing those instruments looked quite stylish with their tuxedos. If it was up to me, all guys would always be sporting tuxes, like in the 1920s. Everyone used to dress quite fashionably during the Roaring 20s.
Another thing I liked about the show was that they allowed you to take photos. The main reason why ballet is dying is because they are super annoying about the photograph taking issue.
Photos are free advertisement for their art. Well, I am not one to tell others how to run their business. The point is that the Faena Tryst show was a lot of fun. I think that Faena is going to be planning a new show in the future.
