Mafia II Xbox 360 Game Review
I thought I would continue with my game reviews. I am so closed to being up to date with all my game reviews. Once I am done with this little list I can focus on the future.
Well, the Mafia game was pretty peachy. I had downloaded it into my X Box 360. The only problem with the game was that I got bored after playing all it the way through, trice. Then again, I never liked first person shooter games.
Needless to say, Mafia II is the second part of the first of the Mafia game. The main character is the kid of the guy from the first Mafia game. His family migrated to America.
I thought it was pretty cool the changes of technology via the cars, scenery and weapons. The missions were pretty cool. I liked best the Final Battle. It was at an auditorium that was circular. It was pretty hard to find places to hide from that storm of bullets.
Another thing that I liked was the music. While you drove your car, you could turn on the radio. They had different stations that went with each time period. In one episode, Vito had to bury a body with his pals.
His friends were drunk and he was the designated driver. While he drove the car, they sang to the music on the radio. It was pretty funny, in a sick twisted humor kinda way.
Another thing you get to do in this game is steal cars or rob stores. The stores with the most amount of money are the fashion stores and the gun shops. In order to allude the police, you need to change your suit.
It's good to rob a fashion store because you are close to a new tuxedo. As for the gun shop, it is perfect for getting new guns and ammo. The downside is that the owner can blow your head off.
To recharge HP, you need to eat some food. You can also drink a lot of booze and get drunk. It's pretty interesting the drunk effect of this game. However, you need to be sober to get by.
You cannot slay your enemies with a shaky hand. Let's just wrap things up. For its realism, Mafia II is worth playing.
Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 Xbox 360 Game Review
The Star Wars game I only played once. It got kinda boring the second time around. Plus, the storyline was a bit too short. They did have some other dungeons here and there.
However, the main storyline did not last long. Basically, you are this clone guy. You are being trained by Darth Vader. At a certain point you have a vision that Vader is going to kill you. You are a defective clone because you are still attached to this random chick.
This chick was loved by the original you. Now, all the clones are defective because of their love for that chick and their hatred for Darth Vader. Needless to say, you have to escape the cloning planet.
The first battles are peachy. At a certain point, you go to a Colosseum to rescue this Jedi. He was being forced to play gladiator. Here you have the first giant monster battle. It was pretty cool.
The only other battle worth noting was the final boss. In the end, you get to fight Darth Vader. That final boss was pretty hard. You had to keep an eye out for the commands else he blows you away. He starts off with weird mind tricks. Every so often he jumps you.
Eventually, the battles escalates into some serious business. From time to time, he calls forth your clones to kill you. However, you can use your mind control to send them to fight Darth Vader.
In the end, you fight him outside between the lightning and the rain. Oh, yeah, you fight him in the cloning planet. It's a real bummer those clones. The fights in this game are peachy. Nothing too far out there.
Radiata Stories PlayStation 2 Game Review
Radiata Stories is among the best games I ever played. It only went sour when we began to collect friends. Getting records or making complete list of things always sours things up. Regardless, let's talk about the game. Radiata Stories begins with an open book.
Eventually, the pages turn to the battle of Cairn Russell vs the Ice Dragon. It was among the coolest game battles I ever seen. Eventually, the father got algendars (or the berserk virus) in the middle of the battle. He really was not supposed to have fought against the water dragon.
Regardless, his berserk mode allowed him to defeat the beast. For slaying it, he saved humanity from the dragon. His reward was a madness virus that forced his best friend to kill him.
Well, you find out all about this later. For now, the story turns to his son, Jack Rusell. He is trying to follow in his father's steps. In the Rose Cuochon, he meets Ridley Silverlakes. She is his lover girl. They did not get along, till later. Eventually, you get kicked out of the knights.
You then join the warrior guild to make meets ends. In the town of Radiata, you meet a lot of people. Via speech, you get to unlock a lot of cool missions. By kicking people you can battle them.
You know, that is the method we used to train. I used to kick the higher level guys. The easiest guys to defeat are the dwarfs. All you have to do is run around a lot. However, you can only challenge each person once a day.
In one file, I tried kicking Aphelion in his human form, early in the game. I wanted to see if he bit my head off in his cool black dragon form. Oh, yeah, the dragon of darkness is the final boss. He is with the humans. He wishes to free them from the Tyranny of all the other dragons, and the nonhumans.
At a certain point, you must choose between the humans and non-humans. The problem is that your girl is the vessel for the sun dragon. She naturally went with the non-humans. Thus, if you go with the humans, then she dies.
If you save her, then you and all the humans die. Kind of a tough choice. After you win the game (in either scenario), you get to play in the Trail of Tribulations. There you fight the infamous Lezard Valeth.
He is from Valkyrie Profiles. You also get to fight with Cairn Russell. It’s pretty funny the battle with Gabriel Celesta. In this game, he is a creepy black guy wearing a speedo. He jumped Jack Russell from behind. hehehe...
In that place, you also meet Lenneth. She wants to kill you to turn you into a chosen warrior among the dead. If you win, she becomes your ally. The last boss is the Ethereal Queen.
Inside the trail, you also get to fight all the elemental dragons. The golden dragon was kinda sketchy. You will see, one you get there. hehehe... Well, there is also the real golden dragon. He shows up either in the place were you fought Lenneth or in the place were you fought your father.
From the playable characters, I like best the non-humans. My favorite are the light elves. I especially like Gil a lot. He is pretty powerful. He also writes good poetry. Another powerful guy is the ghost goblin. He uses powerful magic. There was also the head of the Green Orcs. He was pretty strong.
From the human side, the most interesting ally is Sonata. He is a blue wolf. You kinda have to chase after him, until you meet him in a lot of areas at night. The most powerful of the humans is the Genie, leader of the Thieves guild. Its a real bummer about that guy. Its ironic that the most powerful fighters on the human side were not even human. Hahahaha!!
Another thing that is cool about the game are the armors. You can only equip yourself. Among the most interesting of armors was a tuxedo. It was pretty funny. I forget... I think the best armor was a samurai armor...
The weapons also varied. The overdrive depended on the weapon. Speaking of overdrives, only a few allies had an overdrive. Lenneth had Nebeiloung Valeski. I really cannot spell that attack.
Oh well, I think that is everything worth mentioning about the game. The music was peachy and so was the presentation. You know what is evil? In this game, only the humans ever got wiped out. It's such a nice thing that the Dragon of Darkness turned the table on the non-humans.
He was such a good God to humanity, for better or for worse. Wait!! I remembered something else. Jack Russell's sword is called the Arbitrator. It was the same sword used by his father. I think Radiata Stories got made into a manga.
Rollcage Stage II PlayStation Game Review
Rollcage Stage II was the first PlayStation game I ever played. It came with the PlayStation one game that my mother got me. The problem was that we had no memory card. Thus, most of the advancement in the game were never saved.
Basically, the game was about car racing. Each time you won a race, you got a new car. If you got first all the time, you won the best. The stages were pretty hard. You got points there more things you blew up. When you did not win first, you got to first place by breaking the entire arena.
The hardest arena is the final one. It's called scramble. The problem is that all the 5th races are death matches. There you can only win by being the first. So, yeah, Scramble is really hard. By then the computer is pretty pumped up.
Now for other things about the Rollcage Stage II game. The 2-player gig is more of a versus battle. There you have several arenas. The one who bleeds the most point out of your enemy wins. My favorite is Spiral.
There is also a section called Scramble. There you play alone. You have to complete some wacky tracks within a certain amount of time. The hardest one is In a Spin. There the track is always twisting like a serpent. To make matters worse, you have to time your stop well to fall on the right track.
You require the rain, to tell if you are upside down. There are other hard, longer tracks. However, you can clear them easily by taking a leap of faith. That is how you win the last one meeting record time. I guess that is everything worth mentioning. Oh, and the password to unlock most powers is all AA!
Generic Guitar Hero and Rock Band Game Reviews
The first guitar hero game I ever played was Guitar Hero 80s music. That game was pretty hard at first. The first time I played it, I got tendonitis from playing it on easy. The first song I ever won was Holy Diver.
It was a song that I liked a lot. After finally mastering easy, we moved on to bigger fishes. In medium level, we discovered the encores. The hardest song was "Play With Me". It's a song about playing with Death. The most interesting playable guitarist was the grim reaper. He had 3D sunglasses and a jumbo clock. Guitar Hero 80s was a game was pretty fun. Then again, I always loved the 80s rock music.
After this first major success, I purchased Guitar Hero 2. Not all the songs in this game were peachy. This game had many heavy metal and Grunch music. Among my favorite songs there was "Killing in the name" by Rage Against the Machines.
"War Pigs" was also hilarious. At the end of the regular game, you could play songs you won via your accomplishments. A perfect play gave you game money to buy guitarist, guitars and music.
It was pretty interesting. Via this game you got to appreciate the hard work of Guitarist. Before this game, I never listened to the guitar. I was lyric centric. Now, I am always listening for the guitarist and his totally amassing solos. After the second part, I bought the 3rd part of Guitar Hero. This one did not have death as a playable character. Instead, all we had was Luo.
This game ties rock and roll back to its jazzy past. In the old days, Jazz masters used to duel using their music instruments. Now in Guitar Hero III, you get to duel against the best guitarist out there.
The ones featured in Guitar Hero III are Slash and Tom Morello. There was also the fictional guitarist of the Devil. The final duel is against Lou. There you play with him a violin dueling song adapted to the guitar. It was called " The Devil went Down to Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels band.
In this game, we wanted to try out the two player mode. However, we only had one guitar. I had the brilliant idea of using the regular PS2 controller for the bass player. It was a bit iffy at first.
However, I eventually mastered playing guitar hero with a remote control. Sure, it defeats the purpose of the game. However, we were able to unlock a few songs that were only available in the two player mode.
The hardest songs to play in Guitar Hero III are "One" by Metallica and "Raining Blood". After this game, we bought Guitar Hero Aerosmith. The game was pretty fun except for the songs that were not by Aerosmith.
I guess they could not afford all the Aerosmith songs. I like this game a lot. It taught me a lot about the band's career. It also made me aware of many Aerosmith songs that I did not know even existed.
After this game, I bought a small expansion pack for a guitar hero game. It had only 22 songs. They were all pretty awful. I bought it one day that I was bored during my vacation at the Florida Keys.
After this game, I bought the Beatles Rock Band set. It was the first Rock Band game I ever got. I bought it for the Xbox. 360 The game set came with the guitar, the mike and the drum kit. This game brought my family together. I always played it with my brother and my mama. Since it was the Beatles, Mama really did like the game a lot.
This game had all the great songs of the Beatles. It was really fun. However, something happened! A friend of the family who used to play The Beatles game with us died. Ever since then, we stopped playing all the Guitar Hero games and the Rock Band The Beatles because it reminded us of him.
I tried to rekindle my love for Guitar Hero by purchasing the Smash Hits. However, it only made things far more depressing. In the end, I stopped playing these kinds of game all together. It was too painful.
Even the heavy metal music is made tame by one's drive to win. I recommend it to everyone, regardless of their age. In any case, Guitar Hero 80s, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, Rock Band The Beatles and Guitar Hero Smash Hits deserves 5 stars rating.
Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V
At first, I was reluctant to buy the game. The demo looked pretty bad. I am not too big on hipper realism games. However, one day my brother was feeling rather low. Thus, I bought him the Skyrim game. The irony about Skyrim is that now I do not let brother play the game.
I do not want him to ruin my files. That point aside, let us discuss Skyrim. The Skyrim game is about the Dragonborn. You got captured along with Ulfric Stormcloack. They were going to execute you for not having any papers. It’s a classical illegal immigrant story.
When they asked you for your name, you get to design your character. For my first file, I became an Imperial. The game said that the Imperials were good at both fighting and magic. Thus, there you have it. Before they slice your head off, Alduin storms the camp.
You escape during the chaos. At a certain point, you either follow the Stormcloacks or the Imperials. Still, that does not determine your part in the Civil war of Skyrim. Once you escape, you have to go to this random town. There you meet someone who ask you to tell the Jarl about the Dragon. Eventually, you fight a random dragon. Once you defeat the dragon, you absorb his soul and thus obtain your first Shout.
From then on, the rest of the world of Skyrim is opened to you. Each town has its own unique storyline. In my first file, I did defeated Alduin and stopped Arcano. I also joined up with Ulfric Stormcloack. When negotiating peace, the annoying Delphine asked me to kill Parthunex.
I felt bad, but I did it anyway. I used the Mensius dagger to slay him. In that same file, I got around to solving the mystery of Foresworn. Then again, I simply killed the guy. I was tired of being in jail. The problem was that the prison guard also tried to kill me. It’s a good thing I had my magic to fight. One does not need anything to cast magic in this game.
In my second file, I was a Tholmor, named Pride. I got to train all my magic to maximum. I also joined up with the Dark Brotherhood. I thought the part where I hid with the Unmother was pretty creepy.
Still, the vampire girl and the red guard guy were pretty interesting. The Black Sacrament was also pretty interesting. After winning the mission, I got a new house with the Dark Brotherhood. It came with playable goons and a torture room. The torture room came with people to torture.
I was able to get the information out of Pride's torture victim. Pride also joined the Imperials and defeated Ulfric. His Shout was really something else. However, Pride had the draedric Ebony armor. She was not faced by this Shouts.
In both my first two files, I joined the Thieves Guild. I got to become a Nightingale and gained the power of invisibility. For my last file, I was a Redguard chick. In this file, I discovered a way to train her well.
First of all, I used my early pecks to make her pickpocket skills pretty high. I also used enchanted equipment to raise my stealing chances. I then went and bought a skill level and then got the money back via pickpocket. Via this process, I was able to train a lot of skills and still maintain my money. Needless to say, my first level 100 skill was pickpocket.
Most people level up in this game by fighting. As for me, I level up via potion making, smith and enchanting. Thus, I had pretty early a dragon armor. The trick was to make hundreds and thousands of daggers. You then enchant them and sell them. With the money you buy more ingredients to make daggers. Like that you begin the cycle anew. As for the potions, I just bought a lot of ingredients by visiting all the towns.
Another interesting thing about the game was the dreadric weapons. Each came with a unique storyline attached to the weapon. They are very hard to get. The hardest one to get is the Nightmare Staff. It was a pretty weird mission.
The Ebony Blade is hard to improve. You need to kill people who trust you. I befriended the orcs and then raided one of their towns. That helped the blade level up. From those weapons, my favorite was the Dawnbreaker and the Ebony armor. Both were pretty peachy.
Another nice thing about the game is the world map. Sometimes I would just wonder around to see what I would fin. One time, I found a strange ruin at the end of the world. There a Dragon Priest and his dragon were protecting a book. It was pretty far out there.
One time, I found a den of Vampires. I got bit by a few. At first, I wanted to try out the vampire powers. However, I forgot that I was weak in the morning. I took a potion to undo the transformation. In another file, I became a werewolf.
Speaking of werewolves, one time a werewolf gave me a cursed ring. I had to participate in Hacine's hunt to get the ring off. I discovered that something was wrong with the ring when my chick killed a lot of people. Let's see, my favorite weapon is the Ebony bow. By giving it a lot of enchantments, I can kill a dragon with one shot. The Mencius dagger is pretty cool. Wait, I just remembered that I had done another Skyrim blog.
Oh well, this one is a lot better than the last blog. Yes, I remember, it was about the Wabbajack. In any case, Skyrim is a 5 stars worthy game. Tata and Goodnight. You know, when I heard that the game was compatible with Kinetic I almost bought the system.
However, all that kinetic did for you was the Shouts and they had to be pre-set. How lame is that? The game developers are planning to make a true Kinetic Elder Scrolls game. However, that is going to take a while.
The Kinetic technology is not yet that advanced. I heard that they made an expansion pack for Skyrim. There you start 100% as either a Vampire or a Werewolf. Each form has its own unique pecks and storyline. I thought it was pretty cool. I think that is everything worth mentioning about skyrim.
