This is another one of those chapter images. I have not made any new ones. I have also been thinking of making a new front cover for it. I am not too satisfied with the one I made the first time. I suppose I should try and see what other people come up with, and then make my own. Then again, I prefer doing my own thing. I could be jockey and have the front cover have nothing to do with the actual plot of the story. Just think of it as a bit of a tease. Would that bother people, or would they get the point and the joke. I have always had a bit of a funny bone with my things. It is usually easier to do so visually. My books come out a bit more serious than my comic book work. Then again, when I am writing it I am not thinking about how to make the scene funnier.

I mean, I am not working on making a  comedy. Still, incidentally there are scenes that come out as funny. I only notice it when I read the book to my editor. The photo features my protagonist sitting on the throne. He is staring with disdain at the dragon carving. I guess he finds it rather cheesy. I made it a cheesy cliché. Then again, the dragons do not appear often in the book. They only appear like in a special event sort of deal or like a one chapter thing. If you see too many dragons, I think they loose their effect. The only place where you see them often is in the third book. The protagonist is a dragon kid, so it is impossible for you to go one page without some draconic reference.

Dragons are always a gimmick in most fantasy books. They are always the sidekick to the main character. It is very rare that they are the protagonist. Even when they are the main character, there is always a human thrown in there just for kicks. Dragons alone, doing dragon things is never like the main thing. I gave it a lot of thought to my third book in the series. The story focusing on my dragon ended up being the longest book in the series. It was just super easy to come up with stories focusing on dragons. Most of the time, I made him come out like a freaking lunatic. It was fun to have a protagonist being a bit of an  oddball while making the rest of the cast like super normal. Normal people just cannot deal with anyone remotely interesting. Another thing I do between my books is change the perspective and narration style. Some of the narrators are not even the main characters.

The main thing is that I cast doubt between all the books. The stories for the most part are stand alone, that take place in the same world, and around the same time. Then again, the story is more about the world, and not about the main characters. Well, this is just about everything I am going to say about the books or whatever. Once they are on the market, you can read all about them. It is my first book series, and also the first books I have written. I think they came out rather decently. I am still working my way towards the end of the series. For now, you have the concept arts to work with. It makes people think I should have made a comic 100 percent. The problem with that is that for me, comics take a longer time to develop. I tend to write a lot faster. Also, there are things that sound better in writing, than they do visually. Books and comics have two different aesthetics, and that is just dandy, as far as I am concerned. Well, this brings me back to this painting. The colors were made with watercolors paints. They belong to my US Art Supply set. The original came with acrylics, watercolors and oil paints. The skin I drew it with my Winsor and Newton Promarkers. The line art was done with my Prismacolor pens. The paper is also from my US Art Supply Set. I hope you find this information useful.
